SIGN FABRICATOR

The class of “sign fabricator” requires a member to have their signage UL or CSA certified (or ETL). In addition, any member who handles the installation of exterior lit or unlit signage must be RBQ certified. The AQIE offers support in obtaining certifications and allows membership without certification of teaching members, subject to compliance within one year of membership.

COMMERCIAL GRAPHIC / WRAP

A lettering / wrap member is a specialist in design, printing and installation of vinyl lettering and graphics intended to be installed on various mediums including vehicles, walls, substrates, etc. In addition, several of our members have installation certifications recognized by 3M or Avery and benefit from continuous training through our partner suppliers and the Association.

LARGE FORMAT PRINTER

A large format printing member master’s large format digital printing technology and offers display advertising solutions of all kinds. He masters the art of visual communication on several types of print media and often offers a turnkey project from design to installation.

INSTALLATION / SIGN SERVICE

A “installation/service” member specializes in the installation of lit and non-lit signage as well as offering signage service when needed. They are a individual/company having obtained a license of specialized contractor (11.2) in equipment and special products by the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec (RBQ). They posses the necessary certifications to work on construction sites, in health and safety. AQIE offers support for obtaining certifications .
